Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Better Together Housing over the last year and we cant wait to be back on board next year with more information sessions, Get it Togethers and other events we have planned in 2025 Closures over Christmas Sunshine Coast: December 25th – January 2nd Mackay: December 19th – 8th January Better Together Housing Christmas Party On the 28th of November we held the first Better Together Housing Christmas party for our Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, and Brisbane regions. We had members and supporters come from all over to gather to create connections and build relationships. The event brought warmth and connection to women over 55 facing housing insecurity, offering a much-needed opportunity for togetherness. This day wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of the QCWA Beerwah and donations from the Rotary Club Glasshouse Country. Better Together Housing wouldn’t be where it is without our community champions who come together with us and our members to share ideas and ways to help one another. We were delighted to welcome Linda from the Department of Housing, who joined the celebration, further emphasising the importance of community-driven solutions. We also had special guests Footprints Community Housing Older Women’s Support Service and Elizabeth Eaton Counselling & Parenting Support Service who helped to support us on the day. Update on our latest Get it Togethers
Better Together Housing in Mackay held an end of year Christmas Celebration with members at the Shamrock Hotel in Mackay. Members exchanged secret Santa presents and had a lovely end of year catch up.
Keep an eye out for our next Get it Together which will be in early February.
