Welcome to our first newsletter of 2024!
We have started 2024 off with a bang! We are currently working towards a
new website and are hosting more Get it Togethers around the Sunshine
Coast and we will be working our way to hosting in the Moreton Bay Region as
well. Keep an eye on our event page on our website for when we add more
dates for our Get it Togethers.
From the feedback we have gathered from our members last year we found
that the website can be an issue for some of our members. We have heard
your feedback and we are now in the process of developing a new website
that we hope will be more user friendly and just all round easier to use. We
would love for members to provide feedback on our new website once we
have a draft ready to go. If you would like to be involved please email us on

Welcome to our Student on Placement, Anita!
We are very happy to welcome Anita for her University placement with Better
Together Housing. Anita has been a social worker with Queensland Health for
the past 20+ years supporting vulnerable people to explore options that
optimise their health and lifestyle outcomes. She is grateful in working so close
with others and deeply value the life stories that people share with her in their
storying. She values connections with others, animals, humor, and spending
time in nature as resourcing and refreshing. This is the reason for her current
enrolment in Master of Counselling course and seeking the placement
opportunity with Better Together Housing to focus on the importance of
community and learning from each other.

Better Together housing is coming to the Gordon White Library in Mackay!
Lauren will be trailing the pop-up at both te Dudley Denny and Gordon White
libraries throughout February and March. This is a great opportunity for anyone
who has had some questions about the program to meet Lauren face-to-face!
