We are off to Mackey!
The Better Together Housing Team are off to visit the team in Mackay this week. We hope this trip will enable us to share our learnings of the program in the different regions and discuss how we might be able to support our members across each area. During this time, we will also be visiting key stakeholders in the area and women with lived experience to get their feedback about Better Together Housing in the region. We’re very much looking forward to this trip as it has been over a year since we were there last!

Mackay News & updates
While it was a quiet gathering, we decided to take advantage of the opportunity by working through building the attending members profiles and practiced looking through the website to find other women looking to share in Mackay as the attending member hadn’t access the website before. This gave her broader access to other members in Mackay and improved her confidence in using the website. We look forward to our next gathering on Wednesday the 22nd of Nov at 10am venue TBA.
The Neighbourhood Hub Mackay– Financial Wellbeing Program
This program can support women in Mackay who are experiencing financial hardship. They provide support, information and advocacy to individuals under a range of circumstances. Their website has a range of useful resources including Meal Planners, recipe booklets for eating well on a budget and referral forms. Check it here.
Sisterhood information session- HeartSpeak
