This is the face of Homelessness Week in Australia.

Australian women aged over 55 have often experienced a lifetime of gender inequality, a gender pay gap of 13.8% and less super, and periods of time out of the workforce forfamily reasons. It’s not surprising that women aged over 55 are the fastest growing cohort of homeless people in this country.

It is not all bleak - and, of course, it's in our hands to change it.

A key to changing how the future looks is connecting likeminded women together to share housing and build a communiy around them.
