Better Together Housing is a program designed by women over 55 to meet the needs of independent women like ourselves. It is tailored to bring women together in a safe and secure way to find shared accommodation. Participants can be women who own or rent their home but are interested in finding a woman to share with, or women who are looking for a new place to live with one (or more) other woman.
We are different to regular flatmate finder platforms, we are specifically for older women, and every registered participant has undertaken a police check so you can feel secure.
Our participants need to be open to negotiate how their home can be shared, but we have resources to support this.
Better Together Housing is an inclusive community and welcomes women over 55 to respectfully participate regardless of where they have come from, their religion, their culture or their sexuality.
We are strong and independent women, challenging the status quo and adapting our living environment to enjoy a greater quality of life. This is a cutting edge program and we hope to pioneer the way forward for many like-minded women. Registration is simple and only takes two easy steps:
Step 1: Register
To join Better Together Housing, register online at www.bettertogetherhousing.com.au. You will need to provide either a National Police Check (NPC) or a Blue Card. This is to offer peace of mind, safety, and security for our members.
Step 2: Participate
Once your membership is approved you will need to create an online profile and will have access to a range of resources.
Step 3: Connect
Start connecting & building relationships with other members, attend face-to-face events, and participate in our community.
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work.
